FOUNDERS
Bridget Carpenter
Bridget Carpenter is an award-winning writer and showrunner whose work spans television, theater, musicals, and film. Her television credits include all five seasons of the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning Friday Night Lights, as well as Only Murders in the Building, Parenthood, Westworld, King Shaka, and The Red Road. She created 11.22.63 for Hulu and Bad Robot, adapted from Stephen King's bestselling novel, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and became Hulu's most-watched original series of 2016. She is currently co-creating the Disney+ drama Tink with Liz Heldens.
Her plays and musicals have been produced by Steppenwolf, The Public Theater, Berkeley Repertory Company, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Arena Stage, Actors Theatre of Louisville, and numerous theaters throughout the U.S. and U.K. A Guggenheim Fellow and recipient of the Princess Grace Award, Kesselring Prize, and Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, Carpenter holds an M.F.A. from Brown University and has taught writing and theater at every level, from elementary schools to colleges and correctional facilities.
Jane Abramson
Jane Abramson is a producer and creative executive whose work spans Broadway, international theater, and new musical development. She spent more than 18 years at Disney Theatrical Group, where she developed and managed productions including Frozen, Aladdin, Newsies, The Lion King, Mary Poppins, and The Little Mermaid, along with numerous regional and international productions. In 2018, she co-founded and produced the landmark event Women's Day on Broadway.
Most recently, Abramson spent five years commissioning and developing new plays and musicals for Michael Cassel Group, including Dracula starring Cynthia Erivo, The Picture of Dorian Gray starring Sarah Snook, and Almost Famous on Broadway. She is currently lead producer of the Broadway-bound musicals Trading Places and The Hello Girls, while continuing to develop a slate of new productions for stages in the U.S. and abroad. Before her theater career, Abramson worked in the music industry at Atlantic Records and Clear Channel. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two children.
